Burt Wolf, the host of the public television series Travels & Traditions, and Alpana Singh, Master Sommelier and host of WTTW's Check Please! invite you to join them on a 7-day tour of Rome, Assisi, and Siena. Burt and Alpana have designed an itinerary highlighting the foods of Rome with tastings of local specialties and the wines & liquors of the region. The guided city tours include a private after-hours visit to the Vatican, a tour of the Coliseum in Rome, a visit to the Basilica of Saint Francis in Assisi, a walking tour in Siena to include the Duomo, Town Hall and Piazza del Campo, and two private vineyard lunches, tours and wine tastings in Tuscany.

DAY 1 - SATURDAY 6 OCTOBER 2012 * DEPART U.S. FOR ROME, ITALY
DAY 2 - SUNDAY 7 OCTOBER 2012 * ARRIVE ROME—TRANSFER TO HOTEL
Upon your morning arrival at the Rome airport, you will be met by our English-speaking guide and a private coach to transfer you to the Rose Garden Palace hotel, a 4-star hotel located in one of Rome's most exclusive areas on Via Vento hill. This afternoon, you will be free to explore the city or relax in your room. Burt will supply you with his guide to the city with recommendations for shopping and restaurants for lunch. This evening, Burt and Alpana will join you for a Welcome Dinner during which we discuss our tour itinerary. (D)
DAY 3 - MONDAY 8 OCTOBER 2012 * ROME
After breakfast at our hotel, we will take a morning city sightseeing tour with our local guide to visit ancient Roman sights including the Coliseum. Lunch is at a favorite local restaurant followed by an afternoon at leisure. Tonight, Alpana will present an aperitif tasting prior to dinner. (B,L,D)
DAY 4 - TUESDAY 9 OCTOBER 2012 * ROME
This morning, we visit two neighborhood food markets. Lunch at a fine local restaurant then time on your own. During the late afternoon, we will re-group and transfer to the Vatican for a private guided after-hours tour. Dinner follows as well as an after dinner drink tasting presented by Alpana. (B,L,D)
DAY 5 - WEDNESDAY 10 OCTOBER 2012 * ROME-ASSISI—SIENA
After breakfast at our hotel, we will check-out and depart Rome by private motorcoach for Assisi. We tour the Basilica of Saint Francis. Burt will guide you through the unique artistic heritage of the site, which was the subject of one of his PBS programs. The tour will be followed by a traditional lunch at one of Assisi's finest restaurants. After lunch, we will drive through the Tuscan hills to Siena. This evening, we will have dinner at a local Siena restaurant with a wine tasting led by Alpana. (B,L,D)
DAY 6 - THURSDAY 11 OCTOBER 2012 * SIENA
Our day begins with a morning walking tour of Siena with a local guide. We'll visit the Duomo, the Town Hall, and the Piazza del Campo. In the late morning, we will drive out of Siena for a special vineyard lunch, tour, and wine tasting organized by Burt and Alpana. This evening, Burt will supply you with a list of his favorite local restaurants so you may choose where to dine on your own. In addition, Alpana will give you a list of recommended wines you might like to taste at dinner. (B,L)
DAY 7 - FRIDAY 12 OCTOBER 2012 * SIENA
This morning, we stop into delicatessens for tastings of local Italian products followed by an olive oil tasting. Later this morning, we drive out to a local Tuscan vineyard for a private lunch, winery tour and tasting. This evening, Burt has arranged for a special Farewell Dinner at one of his favorite Siena restaurants. (B,L,D)

$4,190 per person (based on double occupancy). Add an additional $525 for single supplement. $500.00 per person deposit is due at time of reservation. Balance of tour cost is due 90 days prior to tour (by July 5, 2012). Tour cost includes: 6-night hotel with breakfast, service charge & taxes, hotel porters in & out; private English-speaking local guides during entire program in Italy; private deluxe motorcoach & driver for all days per itinerary; all entrance fees and transportation tickets per itinerary, all gratuities for guides, driver, included meals (3 lunches and 5 dinners) per itinerary.
CANCELLATION POLICY
50% of your $500 deposit is refundable if reservation is cancelled prior to July 5, 2012. Cancellation 89 to 30 days prior to tour departure, 50% of tour cost is refundable. Cancellation 29 days to start of tour and/or No-Show, no refund.
EXPENSES NOT INCLUDED IN TOUR COST Expenses not included in the Tour Cost include: roundtrip airfare, optional travel insurance, optional tours not included on tour itinerary, miscellaneous hotel expenses (laundry, long-distance telephone, minibar, liquor/food not on the included menu), porters at airports, excess baggage fees, passport, 1 lunch in Rome and 1 dinner in Siena, lunches and dinners during the optional 2-night Florence extension, and all other items of a personal nature.

After breakfast at your hotel, a morning walking tour has been arranged with a local guide. Stops include the
